Credihealth: Helping you through your hospitalization journey


Credihealth is a startup company that is India’s Medical Assistant. Credihealth aims at helping a patient through their hospitalization journey.


The Business

Credihealth’s platform includes helping the patient or patient’s family member choose the best doctor for their medical issue according to doctor qualification, years of experience and convenience. Next, the patient’s doctor appointment is booked and follow-up scheduled.

In case the patient needs surgery, Credihealth helps the patient make an informed decision by providing him with three or more treatment quotations from leading hospitals. This helps patients compare and select the best option for himself.

The Founders

Credihealth was co-founded by Ravi Virmani, Gaurav Gaggar and Saurabh Uboweja. The company was founded in October 2013.

A successful business leader, Ravi Virmani had co-founded Noble House in his New Delhi garage which was acquired by Hewitt with Ravi at the helm of Hewitt Associates India as its co-founding Managing Director. After successfully stints as MD at Hewitt South Asia and CEO Aventus Consulting (both in Singapore), he returned to India as COO of Max Healthcare immediately before founding Credihealth. Ravi is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur.

A successful Chartered Accountant, investment banker, and e-venture co-founder, Gaurav Gaggar has over 10 years of experience in Transaction Advisory, Resource Mobilisation and Valuation. He has advised a number of M&A and Private Equity transactions. After his tenure with Delloitte in 2010, Gaurav donned his entrepreneurial hat and co-founded 2 successful e-gaming ventures.

Saurabh Uboweja has been running India’s first truly holistic brand consulting and design firm, Brands of Desire. He consults start-ups, mid-size and large size companies including diversified business groups on their brand strategy. Prior to Brands of Desire, Saurabh worked for Citigroup. Saurabh is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta.

The reach

Credihealth has the largest network of hospitals with over 500 hospital partners in Delhi NCR, Mumbai Region, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Pune, Ranchi and Indore. At the moment the business is focusing their reach in India only.

Credihealth is free for all patients. The team at Credihealth says that the response has been overwhelming. They have served more than 65,000 patients so far.

Business model

Credihealth’s main source of revenue is from market development fee from hospitals. They plan to eventually cover the entire Indian geography. With this reach, they would be the only company in the pure hospitalization digital healthcare space. The primary area of focus is to help people deal with all non-clinical pain points during their hospital journey. The idea is to set the benchmark for all healthcare services providers.

The Indian healthcare sector alone is estimated to touch $280 billion in size by 2020 – more than double from what it was in 2012 (according to a report by FICCI-KPMG) resulting in the CAGR growth rate of about 16%. We see a 40% increase in the number of people making informed decisions in the digital healthcare space. We are confident to see these numbers increase by many folds in the next year.

Recently she founded a platform for scientists - SciGlo ( and is a startup mentor at Vertical VC (Finland). She is an ardent lover of science and enjoys globe trotting and good vegetarian food.
